Terms and Conditions of Employment

Probationary Period.

The normal probationary period is 90 days.

Notice period

Minimum 30 days but can go higher for certain labour categories.

Months of Salary

There are normally 12 months of salary.

Retirement

Men from 65 years and females from 55 years of age.

Working Hours

Maximum is 48 hours per week.

Vacation

Minimum 14 working days. Public holidays are set as per the government announcements.

Maternity Leave

70 calendar days starting up to 28 calendar days before childbirth. Maternity leave is paid by the social security department if employee is enrolled there, and by the employer if the employee is enrolled in the optional one.

Sick Pay

up to 14 days

Social Security EMPLOYER contribution

is 14.25% of basic salary.

Employee share

is 7.5% of basic salary.
